The study is based on the analysis of available data and literature, as well as the use of methods of comparative analysis and synthesis of information, generalisation, systematisation, and comparison (to analyse the impact of globalisation, innovation, cultural policy, and digital communications on the role of public libraries in the modern world; to clarify the functions of the public library in the information space).
